
André Duarte

André Duarte is a Production Engineer from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCAR), with a Master’s and PhD in Business Administration from the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV-EAESP), as well as courses and specializations from schools such as Washington University, Harvard Business School, and the University of Cambridge.
He has been a Professor and Researcher at Insper since 2002 in the areas of Operations Management, Logistics, and Supply Chain. He served as the Program Director of the Executive MBA and the Undergraduate Course in Business Administration.
He currently heads the Operations and Logistics Studies Center and partnerships with MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and LSE (London School of Economics). He conducts research in the areas of Operations Strategy, Supply Chain Management, Urban Logistics, Digital Transformation, and Industry 4.0. He received the PRME Recognition Awards from the UN for the development of the Campo-Favela Project.
With prior experience as an executive in multinational companies, he now works on developing consulting and training projects for various companies, including Saint Gobain, Votorantim, Itaú, Santander, Bradesco, Cielo, Ambev, Gerdau, Bayer, Roche, Johnson & Johnson, O Boticário, and Braskem.
